Friday 23rd November - Monday 26th November (race on the 25th)

We're pleased to announce that we have frozen 2011 prices for 2012!

Why not join us to run the Florence Marathon in 2012.... we've been taking groups there for five years now and no one knows Florence better. The course is flat and, as our runners have found out, it's got superb PB potential.  It's also one of the most beautiful and romantic cities in the world and the race takes in amazing historical monuments and sights, before finishing on the red carpet in the stunning Piazza Santa Coce.

Enjoy the multiple benefits of staying with Full Potential in the race HQ hotel including access to the race organisers, mixing with the elites and getting the best race numbers! The hotel is 2 mins walk to the race start so you can relax in your hotel room right up until the start of the race and when you've crossed the finish line it's just a 10 minute hobble back to the hotel bar!

*Prices for 2012 — the same as 2011
*Prices are per person
*If you want to extend your stay then please get in touch with us (add email link) and we can make the necessary arrangements

Lucy
December 2011

Best bit: The convenience of the hotel

Overall:

Lucy says: "Had an amazing time. Thanks for everything. Arrived home this morning a very happy bunny, still proudly wearing my medal (sad I know) and will no doubt bore my friends and family silly with all the photos and stories of the great memories over the coming months! The whole weekend surpassed my expectations in every way imaginable. Thanks to you all for making it so special. Luce."

December 2011

Best bit: The race HQ hotel!

Overall:

David Goody says: "Wow, what a fantastic weekend in Florence. Thank you so much for everything - the whole trip was organised brilliantly, Debbie works so hard behind the scenes and the team out there, from the expert coaching pep talks from guys who've been there and done it, through to the pacing support on the day was fantastic. Plus what a beautiful city to spend time in, form the lovely group meals through to exploring Florence I enjoyed every second of it. Would highly recommend!"

Keith Gubbin

Best bit: The Full Potential pacer

Overall:

Keith Gubbin says: "Just a quick note to thank you and your team for organising such a fantastic weekend. The three of us thoroughly enjoyed ourselves- if you can call running 26.2 miles enjoyable! I was most impressed by both your seamless oganisation and fantastic staff. While obviously disappointed not to have cracked 3.15, I honestly believe I could not have gone any faster and, without the good offices of your Phil, would have found 3.30 a challenge! Enjoy your spin around Tuscany and all the best for future “Full Potential” endeavours, I will certainly recommend both you and Florence to any chums foolish enough to want to crack a personal best- BTW I believe I beat mine by some 32 minutes- not bad for a 17 year gap, though as I have explained at some length, my first attempt hardly did me credit! Very best wishes to you and your team, from me and my team!"

Best bit: The organisation

Overall:

Karen Summerville says: "Just want to say a big thank you for such a fantastic weekend, I really enjoyed it! You are so organised and you make it look so easy but I know behind the scenes you and Keith work really hard to make it all go so smoothly! Hope I will be able to join you again next year! I am recovering from the Marathon very well, and I even managed a 10 mile Run today! Hope you are enjoying your time in Italy, Love Karen xx"

Jean Newlands
November 2010

Best bit: The team at Full Potential and the way they look after you

Overall:

Jean Newlands says: "As I am still suffering from post-race euphoria, you might have to excuse my inane babbling... However, I would just like to say a huge thank you to the Full Potential team for a fantastic weekend in Florence. Every little last detail had been considered and it was such a comfort knowing that the only thing I need worry about was getting over the finish line whilst everything else had been taken care of. I found the pre-race briefings both reassuring and motivational and the support of all the group participants was overwhelming. I could go on but I think that by now you will have got the message! Most vivid memories include: - The smell of waffles as we ran the course being closely followed by the smell of continental drains as you turned a corner. - The sight of grown men at the airport trying not to look like they had just run a marathon/been sitting on a horse for a fortnight. Realising at the 20 mile mark that having followed the 4:15 pacers up to that point, I was more than ready to overtake and 'Run, Forest! Run!'. I felt invincible. When the taxi driver at Stanstead asked what I had been doing in Florence and I replied,'Running the marathon, but I didn't win'. He replied that, in his opinion, anyone who can run that distance is a winner anyhow. You made us all feel like winners. Infact I answered the door to the postie this morning in my dressing gown but with my medal still round my neck. I am now dressed but the medal remains in situ. Jean"

SO, WHAT SETS US APART?

Our pricing policy: Our customers tell us every time that this weekend is a unique and truly memorable marathon experience and we believe the packages we're offering this year cannot be rivalled anywhere for value.

Our service: We recognise that running a marathon is enough for anyone to think about for one weekend so we do everything else for you. Full Potential will greet you at Pisa airport and you'll be given private airport transfers to the hotel where your race number and pack will be there, waiting for you on arrival- so while the other runners are expending valuable energy trudging round in circles at the Expo you can chill out and relax!

The accommodation: Mingle with the elites and race organisers- it's no accident that our hotel is the race HQ! Centre of the all the action, just a two minute walk to the shuttle bus to the race start (which is one mile away) – and just a five minute walk away from the race finish and bang on half way. It's a perfect location for the marathon, whether you're running or spectating and perfect for shopping and sightseeing in the heart of the city. Enjoy the multiple benefits of staying with Full Potential in the race HQ hotel including access to the race organisers, mixing with the elites and getting the best race numbers!

The coaching support: With Full Potential coaches are on hand throughout the weekend to discuss your individual race plan whenever you need them you'll feel like a professional athlete. We also provide pacers for those that want a little support during the race itself. The day before the race we'll take you on a guided easy jog across the last few kilometres of the course, so you know every corner of the final stages. And in the evening we'll provide you all with a full pre-race briefing presentation.

The post-race celebrations! There's always a great group dynamic on our trips for those that wish to partake. Feel free to join in our group dinners at beautiful local hand-picked Italian restaurants – great fun both before the marathon and also to celebrate after the race.

You may also want to join us for a some great training in the Algarve in the autumn warmth and sunshine before the winter weather training sets in...
