Can I just say a huge thank you to the team for brilliantly informative and fun weekend. You have really developed a winning formula, with the experience and personality of the whole team, catering so perfectly and positively for all levels.
Can I just say a huge thank you to the team for brilliantly informative and fun weekend. You have really developed a winning formula, with the experience and personality of the whole team, catering so perfectly and positively for all levels. Having recently my first Half in Bath (sub 2 hours just) following training only on my treadmill I learned at the weekend that the fresh air, varying terrain, company of other runners (as well as you guys developing the program and shouting info and encouragement at us of course!) could add to the enjoyment and improve times. The tag lines of "surround yourself with positive people" and "run because you can" hit home in particular and have been buzzing ever since - looking forward to getting the shoes on after work today and ongoing
7 minutes off my PB
I’m pleased to say that the training programme I put in place as a result of the training weekend away seems to be paying dividends. I managed to knock 7 minutes off of my PB (1 hour 47 minutes)

I would like to thank you and your team foe such a fantastic event. I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend and was totally inspired. It was great to have such a mixture of runners and especially inspired by
Joy who is doing her first marathon walking and running - how brave to come
on a running weekend. You made people of all standards feel special
I just wanted to say thank you.
I just wanted to thank you and all the team for a really great weekend. It was not only extremely useful in terms of running techniques and training tips but was great fun as well. I feel reassured that my marathon goals are achievable and am now more focused and re-motivated.

I feel reassured that my marathon goals are achievable and am now more focused and re-motivated. The thing that struck me the most was how enthusiastic you all were, particularly in ensuring we got something useful from the weekend and in making sure we understood what we were doing and why we were doing it. It is fantastic that top level coaches and elite athletes are interested in helping runners of all abilities progress and you could really feel the genuine encouragement and satisfaction you all get from putting us on track to achieve our personal targets.
I will definitely be back for another full potential experience!
A Happy Ending
Its great when stories have a happy ending and this is no exception. Having attended the initial marathon training course and subsequently writing to thank you, I thought I would just update you on my successes which I can only put down to the learning acquired from the course.

All I can say is that I am over the moon! Ran the Birmingham League XC run Saturday like a totally different person, normally wracked with nerves and so don’t particularly run well. Admittedly only the third xc that I have run but wow it was fantastic. I finished 53rd compared to having previously finished 100th in the last race.
Thank you for a great weekend.
Thank you for a great weekend. As a marathon virgin, I was apprehensive of being overwhelmed by the concept of a "training weekend" but I now feel confident and motivated that a structured approach in training and preparation for the FLM 09 will get me to the finish line in April.

The lectures were informative and inspirational and the running sessions were excellent. I will remember the "less is more" mentality and now know that my training routine wont be simply a case of putting on my trainers and running 10,13, 15 km. I look forward to noticing the improvements in my running
